Episode 2613 Description and Preview

Patchwork quilts and patchwork designs are a timeless treasure, but sometimes we can use a little guidance when making them. Angle placement can affect the overall look and flow of a quilt. The units in Prussian Blue – the quilt featured in this episode – are combined to create a beautiful design. Mary and Marianne demonstrate the techniques used to create those perfect angles that come together in a harmonious patchwork design.

Featured Quilt: Prussian Blue

Prussian Blue QuiltThis bed-size quilt pattern was designed by Marianne Fons and it’s a beauty! Prussian Blue uses classic colors — blue and yellow — for a two-color quilt extravaganza that speaks to the traditional aspects of quilting. Marianne added a twist, though! There are pops of black and white to add some pizzazz and spice it up!

Prussian Blue was designed and constructed by Marianne Fons and quilted by LuAnn Downs. This quilt is featured in the Love of Quilting July/August 2015 issue.
