Hourglass Quilt

Use strip piecing to create a dynamic quilt top! The Hourglass Quilt utilizes strips of various colors to create a quilt that seems to shift shapes in front of our eyes.

About this Quilt

Finished Size : 80" x 92"

Rating : Intermediate

Designed By : Lisa Swenson Ruble

Varying lengths of strips in solid colors with a striking contrast create the illusion of an hourglass—but also diamonds, an elongated hexagon, and a bright yellow X. The Hourglass Quilt shown was cut from yardage, but using pre-cut strips will save you hours of rotary cutting.
