About this Quilt

quilt-jaded-facets-flat

Jaded Facets is a beautiful batik table runner created by Patti Carey. Patti chose to make her quilt with 6 different green batiks in a range of shades, arranged in each of the blocks from dark to light green. What’s really great about Jaded Facets is that it finishes at 24” x 72”, making it a generously sized table runner or it’s long enough to drape across the foot of a bed to become a bed scarf.

Patti’s Design Inspiration

For my blog post as part of the “100 Blocks Volume 13” blog tour, I played with several design/layout options for my block, including a bed runner size. The on-point layout is not apparent, due to the partial blocks in the setting triangles, but it makes the runner more interesting. When cutting the template pieces, I attached the paper template to the underside of a square ruler as shown in the attached photos, and used it to cut the pieces without worrying about inadvertently trimming my template.
