Modern Mug Rugs
These mug rugs are made with strips of batiks in gradating colors—with white corner triangles creating a rectangular Snowball block. Simple linear quilting adds to the geometric effect.

MATERIALS
Note: Fabric requirements assume 40″ usable width of fabric.
- Fat eighth white
- 4 (2½ ” x 6½ “) rectangles in 6 gradating colors (light, light-medium, medium, and dark)
- ½ yard backing
- Craft-size batting
- ½ yard binding
- Fabric-safe marker
