“Owl Eyes” is a quilt design that will stretch your curved piecing muscles. Made in soft solids and a gentle color palette, this quilt is sure to please any Modern Maven. We love the sleek and modern impact of the vertical color placement in this design. While the Drunkard’s Path quarter-circle shape is simple to sew, the color and value placement in this design make it look much more complicated than it really is.

Not into solids? Make a modern traditional quilt using the “Owl Eyes” pattern with a variety of prints. Designer Jen Carlton Bailly did just that by creating a second color option with William Morris-inspired fabrics.
