Prickle Quilt

Prickle quilt by Diana Vandeyar
Our best-selling online course is back and better than ever! APQS Longarm Certification Sponsored by Quilting Daily has been revised and updated. Not only will you learn how to make beautiful quilts, you’ll also gain skills to turn your passion into a paycheck with tips on how to run your own quilting business.

It’s genius! Although this graphic and modern quilt looks complicated, it is constructed with only one block and comes together quickly and easily. This is the kind of quilt you can make in a weekend and still have time to go for a hike and binge-watch Mad Men reruns.

What makes it work? Careful color placement. The blocks are set on point and the quilt top is constructed on the diagonal, so it is the ideal project to practice this setting technique. Never one to undervalue the final design element of quilt making, the wide green binding adds an unexpected colorful accent.
