Making the Block
1. Follow manufacturer’s instructions for paper-backed fusible web. Trace 7 Template A shamrocks on paper side of fusible web. Cut apart, leaving small margin beyond drawn lines. Fuse to wrong side of dark green mottle; cut out on drawn lines.
2. Finger-press light green/white print 13″ square in half on both length and width; use folds as placement guide. Referring to diagram and remembering that block will be trimmed to unfinished size of 12½″ square, arrange shamrocks in a ring in center of light green square and fuse in place.
3. Using green thread and very small machine satin stitch (or any other combination of thread and stitch that you prefer), stitch edges of As in place. Trim to 12½″ x 12½″, centering shamrock ring.
