Shell We Dance?
Sweet mermaids float amidst the waves near the rocky shore. Big enough for a crib quilt or a wall hanging for a child’s room, this cute quilt pattern is sure to brighten your day. Diane Harris combines traditional piecing, stitch and flip, and paper piecing in this adorable mermaid themed quilt. With many small units, this quilt is perfect for the intermediate to advanced quilter. A design wall or large flat surface to lay out the quilt blocks as you make them would be helpful. Customize the mermaids by choosing her hair color, skin tone and, of course, the color of her tail! Diane used ColorWorks Solids by Northcott to make this exuberant quilt but it would be just as charming in batiks or a few strategically placed prints.
