About this Quilt
Look at classic stars and stripes from a whole new angle! Modern yet timeless, Anne’s bold, graphic design is made with foundation piecing and simple patchwork. The red stars seem to float above the diagonal blue lines in this reworking of a favorite theme for quilters of all stripes.
Foundation piecing is an easy, accurate way to make the star Y Blocks, rather than using the traditional inset seams. So not only is the look very modern and sleek, but the construction is too! This new slant on the long-loved stars and stripes theme is sure to please quilters who want to make something fresh and new.
This design looks great in the patriotic colorway, but it would really work in any color combination you could dream of, since the design is so strong. You may want to keep this pattern on file and make is several times, in several different ways. It’s easily expanded to a large bed quilt by adding blocks, or adjust it for a little one by subtracting blocks. Anyway way you make it, it’s sure to be stellar!
