Sunburst Society

About this Quilt

quilt-sunburst-society-flatThe warm sunlight brings a glow to everything! The triangles pieced and appliqued onto the colorful Sunburst Society quilt designed by Terri Vanden Bosch recall the triangular prisms that refract light into colorful rainbows. The bright colors recall the rainbows themselves for a bright, pretty throw quilt that’s fun and easy to make.

Terri did all of her applique using the fusible raw-edge technique for an even faster finish. She secured the raw edges using a straight machine stitch.

Fabrics in this quilt are from the Sun Print 2017 collection by Alison Glass for Andover Fabrics. Batting was provided by The Warm Company.

Read more about Terri and her quilting adventures at from her start sewing a pair of pj’s from her great grandmother’s feed sacks while in 5th grade to quilting on her longarm quilting machine. A trip to a quilt store in 1993 was the beginning of her love for quilting, and it has grown from there.
