About this Quilt

quilt-swizzle-sticks-flatThis snappy little chevron quilt is made using Half Square Triangles (HSTs) that were leftovers from Modern Album Star! Swizzle Sticks is adorable, and worth making from scratch, even if you aren’t making Modern Album Star (although check out the free video on “Quilt Re-Mix”, featuring Nancy Mahoney—it’s a fun quilt to make!)

The HSTs build into columns to make twisty, chevron-like columns, and a few HSTs are used to create the mitered effect in the border. As a scrap quilt, it’s so satisfying. As a quick-and-easy quilt pattern, it’s perfect!

A great design like this comes from a great designer! Nancy Mahoney is a frequent contributor to Love of Quilting, and teaches course on using Electric Quilt, the popular quilt design software.
