Through the Blinds Quilt

About this Quilt

Finished Size : 63" square

Finished Blocks : 7" square

Designed By : Malka Dubrawsky

It’s a cliché—though essentially true—that simple things are often the best. This adage definitely applies to the Through the Blinds Quilt design by Malka Dubrawsky. Crafted from the most basic of building blocks—half-square triangles—the Through the Blinds Quilt has a graphic, intense impact, intermixing strong colors and a purposeful use of value. These elements combine in a simple Nine Patch block pattern to create a quilt that is bold and beautiful, yet quick to sew.

The design is also easy to customize simply by alternating the placement of the half-square triangles. You can easily make a secondary pattern as show here or customize the block placement to create your own design. The end result is up to you. But however you choose to arrange your blocks, the simple beauty of this design is incredibly satisfying for quilters of all skill levels.

The Through the Blinds Quilt pattern also includes tips for making multiple half-square triangles at a time to help make your sewing easier and more efficient as well as tips on finishing your quilt to give it an ultra-modern look.
