Undulation

Undulation quilt

About this Quilt

quilt-undulation-flatMake this quilt in a snap with strip piecing. You’ll find these units extra easy to make with strip piecing. Accurate fabric placement is necessary to create the chevrons in the quilt center. Study the diagrams and note that each fabric is used in at least 2 bands, some fabrics are used in 4 bands. For example, the gray floral print is used in band 1 and band 2, the beige texture is used in band 2 and band 3 and so on.

Use an accurate ¼˝ seam allowance throughout to ensure all elements of the quilt fit together well. The cream patches in the blocks will have a bias edge. Use a generous amount of spray starch to avoid stretching the bias edge. Handle all bias edges carefully to avoid distortion.
