About this Quilt
Waterway: Quick & Cool Quilt Pattern
Get your creativity flowing with beautiful batiks! Connie used a cool blue batik that resembles flowing water as the focus fabric for her easy, modern throw quilt, giving her design a strong, cohesive look.
Study the quilt photos and note that all the rectangular patches are placed according to color, while the square patches have random color placement. For clarity’s sake, all the squares are cut from assorted batiks, though Connie cut a few squares each from the olive, green, sage and green/blue batiks in her quilt. You will have enough yardage of each to do the same if you wish. The 2nd left border is made from the olive batik, and the 1st right border is made from the green batik. The remaining two side borders are each made from two matching width-of-fabric strips of assorted batiks.
