The Blooming Star block requires half square triangles and solid and printed square patches for the corner units. Jenny demonstrates how to make a single flying goose quilt block and shows where to attach it the solid rectangle to make a side unit. Then see how to assemble the full block. The Far West block uses half square triangles as its corner units, side units which are composed of three rectangular strips, and a center nine-patch unit. The Four X Star block uses half square triangles in the corner units and hourglass blocks in the side units. Jenny shares a bonus way to make the hourglass units.
