219 | How to Make a Flip Flop Quilt Project

My First Quilt | Sara Gallegos | Runtime (10 min)

If you love a quilt pattern but don’t want to make the entire quilt, feel free to change it up a bit! Sara shows one way to use the Flip Flops in Paradise pattern by Pat Sloan in a new way — making a beach tote! She talks about how to make the templates for the flip flop bottom and strap applique pieces. The finished tote was made without fusible interfacing, but Sara shows how to use Steam a Seam double sided fusible to do fusible raw edge applique instead. She then shows how to stitch a flip flop bottom piece in place on the block’s background.
