6 of 12 | How to Make the Triangle Square and Windblown Square Quilt Blocks

Jenny Kae Parks | Runtime (22 min)

Flying geese, setting patches on point, and quick-corner piecing techniques are all used in the Triangle Square block, using different methods for setting on point than in the previous blocks. The Windblown Square quilt block involves an on-point patch that turns into an on-point section and half-square triangles that are sewn together differently than normal half-square triangle units. Jenny also demonstrates how to match up the units’ edges so that the triangle’s points don’t get lost in the sewn seams.
