220 | How to Work with Striped Fabrics

My First Quilt | Sara Gallegos | Runtime (2 min)

Working with stripes may seem daunting, but they come together beautifully in many quilt patterns. Sara demonstrates how to use stripes to make the Fractured quilt pattern, the key to which is fussy cutting your stripes so the squares match exactly. This quilt block uses a variation on half square triangles in quadrants to create unique patterns. Sara shows how to build the block, gives tips for pressing, and shows examples of different layouts you can use.

Why is this video only 1:23 min long? It’s stated as being 14 mins. I would really like to see the entire video, please.

      Hi Nancy,

Thank you for your comment. The video is actually only 1:23 minutes long. Unfortunately, the 14-minute runtime was an error on our part as the My First Quilt videos are usually only a few minutes long. It has been updated to prevent future confusion.
