Ah, summer! As busy as we are this season, we still manage to make time for quilting. We know you’re always looking for fresh ideas and inspiration, and we hope you find in this issue just the right project to add to your to-do list.

Some of our latest quilts are featured in this issue. Liz Porter made Martha Washington’s Star by way of a block exchange with dear friends in Texas and Virginia. The end result is fabulous! Marianne Fons chose a classic Pinwheel Star block for her latest lovely Quilt of Valor®, Parade Rest. We guide you through making half-and quarter-square triangles for it.
This issue offers a variety of quilts for all skill levels, and plenty of inspiration to help you create beautiful quilts to give as gifts or to keep for your own home.

Designer Angie Milligan’s adorable Bebe B would make the perfect present to welcome a new baby to the family. Kristine Peterson created an outstanding quilt called Eagle Scout for her nephew when he achieved that scouting milestone. And designer Karen Westra Lee designed a super-cool star quilt, Happenstance, after being inspired by a quilt by Cheryl Malkowski.

Take advantage of seven free quilting video tutorials! Our Sew Easy lessons are here to help you perfect your skills. Find them below! Find out more about Quilts of Valor if you’re interested in donating to a serviceman or woman.
