Love of Quilting November/December 2019

It’s that time of year when we are gearing up for the holidays. Or at least I am. I’m thinking about and planning for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. What will we eat? Am I going to host the celebrations? Or will that task fall on one of our children? And what about gifts?

I find myself in the unusual position of not having enough quilts yet to gift at our family Christmas celebration. We have a large family. In a typical year I have 15 or more quilts of varying sizes ready to give and I am nowhere close to that number right now. I can tell you I’ll be sewing like crazy for the next few weeks. I’m hoping you are much more prepared for the holidays than I am.

If that is the case and you are ready for the holidays, you may want to get ahead of the game for next year, so check out our two new series quilts. Dragonfly Dreams (page 84) is a six-part series. And the quilt celebrating our 20th anniversary, For the Love of Quilting (page 34) is a five-part series. Both are show-stoppers and well worth your time and talent.

As 2019 comes to a close, let’s finish it with hearts full of joy and excitement as we look forward to what the coming year will bring.

Happy holidays and happy quilting!
