This week we have very easy cutting. WooHoo!! I know that’s good to hear. We’re going to work on finishing a couple of units. So, let’s get moving!

Materials and Tools

• Dark Fabrics

Mystery Quilt Clue #5

Dark Fabric (Assorted tone-on-tones or solids)

4 strips 3 ½” x WOF (Width of Fabric)

Cut 40 squares 3½” x 3½” from the 4 strips of dark fabric.

Ruler lined up to cut a 3½” strip x WOF (Width of Fabric).

Mystery Quilt Clue 5 - Cut 40 squares 3½” x 3½” from the 4 strips of dark fabric.

Cut 40 squares 3½” x 3½” from the 4 strips of dark fabric.

Join the 3½” squares and 20 of the Flying Geese you made in Clue #2 to make 20 Flying Geese Square Units.

Using all of the triangles from Clue #3 and 20 Kites from Clue #4, sew a triangle to each side of a Kite to make a Kite Triangle Unit as shown below. Make 20 Kite Triangle Units.
