Beautiful New Quilt Patterns from Quiltmaker!

Our best-selling online course is back and better than ever! APQS Longarm Certification Sponsored by Quilting Daily has been revised and updated. Not only will you learn how to make beautiful quilts, you’ll also gain skills to turn your passion into a paycheck with tips on how to run your own quilting business.

Each issue we create teaches quilters how to make beautiful quilts, whatever their skill level. The quilt patterns we feature in our issues come from designers we’ve just met, designers we’ve worked with for years, and designs from our readers! We’re not shy about including quilt patterns in our publications that use techniques that may seem challenging (like foundation piecing, English paper piecing, and appliqué), but we provide step-by-step tutorials that make these projects a success. We call them “Basic Lessons” and they’re in every issue.

The latest issue of Quiltmaker just hit newsstands and boy is it filled to the brim with amazing quilt patterns! There are 11 patterns in all ranging from classic to modern and easy to challenging. You’ll also find, as always, Bonnie Hunter’s latest quilt block pattern in her Addicted to Scraps column.

Here are a few of the fabulous quilt patterns you’ll find in the Quiltmaker May/June 2019 issue!

Rise and Shine by Jen Daly

Jen’s tiny design is perfect for quilters that love hand embroidery and lots of detail. This quilt measures only 6″ x 8″, but boy does it pack a design punch!

Don’t miss the designer profile on Betsy and her amazing series of mandala quilts. The paper-pieced beauty shown here is a stunner.

When we saw Mandy’s design, we longed for summer weather. It is a quilt that begs to be featured in a picturesque picnic. This one is proof that Nine-Patches and chisels can indeed make a spectacular quilt!

Emily was looking to make a masculine design and we think this one is gorgeous. Masculine and strong, stars appear when you combine two easy blocks.

Gosia’s design is filled with curved piecing for a modern, bold look. We love how her simple geometric quilting offsets those curves!
