One of the great perks of working here is that when a co-worker has a baby there is always an outpouring of amazing baby quilt ideas. This year was no exception. When Gigi Khalsa, Associate Editor of McCall’s Quilting, announced she was having a baby we all went a little crazy coming up with quilt blocks. Luckily, we all like sampler quilts so it was easy to combine them into a super sweet baby quilt for the newest member of our little posse. We wanted to all use the same collection so our baby quilt would be cohesive. One of our editors figured out that she was planning on decorating the nursery with soft teals and neutrals so we immediately went in search of baby-themed fabric that had those colors. The Littlest fabric line from Art Gallery Fabrics was just perfect for this and they graciously gave us some to make our project.

Art Gallery Fabric’s Littlest collection was the perfect choice for our baby quilt.

I mean, seriously, how cute are these bunnies?

SO CUTE! Our team went all out on this one. A foundation-pieced book made use of the collections adorable text print. Appliquéd bunnies made with wool gave the quilt some fun texture. This quilt celebrates all things baby and was a joy to make and give.
