Peace Cottage Quilt Along: Lesson 5 of 12

Our best-selling online course is back and better than ever! APQS Longarm Certification Sponsored by Quilting Daily has been revised and updated. Not only will you learn how to make beautiful quilts, you’ll also gain skills to turn your passion into a paycheck with tips on how to run your own quilting business.

Laura Stone Roberts | Runtime (20 min)

Trees generally have both tops (foliage) and bottoms (trunks), but the Treetop quilt blocks and their bottom blocks can be made separately. Host Laura Stone Roberts demonstrates how to use clear template plastic to make the templates needed for the Treetop blocks in the Peace Cottage quilt and how to use those templates to cut out the necessary patches. The beginnings of the blocks may look a little strange when you’re pinning them together, but Laura shows how to pin, sew, and press the blocks for accurate results.
