re-naming Fons & Porter's Quilting Quickly to Pre-Cut Patchwork

GOLDEN, COLORADO — The Quilting Company announced today the re-naming of its bestselling magazine Fons & Porter’s Quilting Quickly, starting with the January/February 2019 issue. The 96-page magazine, appearing on newsstands December 2018, will now bear the title Fons & Porter’s Pre-Cut Patchwork.

“We feel this best reflects the true identity of the magazine, and what our readers want,” says Tricia Patterson, editorial director of The Quilting Company.

re-naming Fons & Porter's Quilting Quickly to Pre-Cut PatchworkThe magazine, which has been published bimonthly since 2014, is the only magazine dedicated to quilt patterns designed around pre-cut collections.

Pre-cut fabric bundles typically include many different prints from a single fabric collection, and finding patterns to maximize them is as easy as picking up Fons & Porter’s Pre-Cut Patchwork. Packed with up to 15 quilt patterns, there’s a design for the most popular pre-packaged fabric bundles, including fat quarters, 2-1/2″ strips (often called Jelly Rolls), 5″ squares (often called Charm Packs), and 10″ squares (often called Layer Cakes)

This mix of pre-cuts won’t change, but you may see more articles and special features related to using pre-cuts, according to the magazine’s editor, Eileen Fowler.

“In 2019, we’ll have a ‘leftovers‘ feature in every issue, because you never use up that whole pre-cut pack,” Eileen says. “Abigail Dolinger, who is designing those projects, has a real knack for coming up with something fun.”

As always, all the technique tutorials you need are included in the magazine, in addition to complete materials lists, thoroughly reviewed instructions, clear construction diagrams, and beautiful photography. Available on newsstands nationally, Fons & Porter’s Pre-Cut Patchwork will continue to be shipped to any readers who subscribe through the auto-ship program.

So look for more fun and more pre-cuts in Fons & Porter’s Pre-Cut Patchwork!
