Quiltmaker Classics: 29 All-Time Favorite Quilts
Today marks the appearance of a brand-new special issue we’re excited about.
Quiltmaker Classics is two issues in one! We’ve combined two classic volumes for a total of 29 quilts—all wonderful designs we’re proud of. QM readers have made it known that these are quilts to make and remake for the family and friends you love.
There’s Dolphin Bay, above. When we share the QM trunk show, this quilt gets the oohs and aahs. I love to point out that the fish in the sea and the birds in the air are the exact same piecing. It’s just their coloring and positioning that causes them to suggest different things. Isn’t this a great quilt?
Then we have Rag Dolls. Definitely classic Quiltmaker!
Or go for something simple, using a limited number of fabrics, or going totally scrappy.
Either way, This and That is a winner.
Shady Rail Fence, above, has been updated in the freshest possible fabrics. They’re from a line called Mediterranean Dream by Simon & Kabuki for Quilting Treasures.
Scrap Happy has a lot of potential no matter what scraps you own. What a great design!
If you like applique, there’s plenty of that, too. Knick-Knack Paddy-Wack just makes you smile!
How about Elephants on Parade? You can even make a stuffed elephant toy to match the quilt with our easy pattern.
There’s a t-shirt quilt pattern, lots more easy geometric quilts, more applique and even a unique three-dimensional Peekaboo quilt. We think you’ll love Quiltmaker Classics.
