Guest Alex Anderson used a minimalist design in her remix of Happenstance by Karen Westra Lee, which provided a lot of space for quilting. She talks about quilt batting choices, then shows how to do the straight line quilting. After she quilted, she added the applique portion which Kelly originally thought was pieced. Alex demonstrates how she did her finished appliqueing, then shows the flanged binding method she used.
