Ribbon Floral Block of the Month |Jenny Kae Parks | Runtime (35 min)

The first place to start when creating Ribbon Floral‘s center star block is the center of the block, which is created with triangular templates to form a hexagon. Jenny shares different ways the template can be placed on the striped fabric and demonstrates cutting one of the patches out and sewing the patches together. Setting triangle squares are added, then it’s time for the foundation pieced sections. To add the foundation pieced sections to the center, a y-seam is needed, and Jenny demonstrates how to do this technique. Another set of setting triangles are then added, and finally border pieces before the center star block is complete.
