WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Perfect for alumni and new students, this course is designed for anyone to teach. Art quilters and sewists who love artful and embellished pieces will love the projects. Individuals interested in starting their own sewing or quilting business, especially those who have recently retired, will love the opportunity that this course offers.
1. Garden Gate Journey
Carol Ingram has once again created a breathtaking art wall hanging that is astoundingly simple and as always, magnificent. You have the option of doing a small 9" x 18" section of the wall hanging or the entire art piece. This allows you to make this a single one-day class or a workshop of several sessions. (All techniques will be covered in the smaller version.)
2. Seasons of Life Calendar Holder with Woven 3-D Art
We all have calendars in our houses. Sometimes several. Yet, how often do we display our sewing art in conjunction with our daily glances at the calendar? Evelyn Byler, Designer for Sulky and Sample-Maker Extraordinaire, has designed this creative calendar holder for you that can be used again and again, year after year. Join Ellen Osten as she presents this sensational and creative project for the "Seasons of Life" Perpetual Calendar Holder. You are essentially getting 4 complete classes in this one project! However, only summer needs to be completed for certification.

TO RECEIVE YOUR CERTIFICATION
Both projects included must be completed to be eligible for certification, however, only the “Summer" Season of the Four Seasons Calendar needs to be completed and submitted, and you can do either the large OR small version of the Garden Gate Journey.
Create, photograph and post the required projects by the desinated date to this course. The Sulky Certification Teaching Staff will evaluate your projects. Once your evaluation is complete, you will then receive your Sulky Teacher Certified Continuing Education Certificate. Remember, being certified does not mean that you are required to teach.
You have 6-weeks to complete these two projects!
MEET THE INSTRUCTORS
Ellen Osten, National Director of Education for Sulky, has decades of experience sewing and teaching professionally. She has contributed to many Sulky books and is the creator of a unique pattern line, ""Sew… What's New"". Ellen has been with Sulky since 1992 as a Sulky National Educator. A few years ago she came on board with Sulky full time as the Director of Education. She travels throughout the country giving lectures, demos and hands-on classes. Patti Lee, Vice President of Consumer Relations, is the go-to person for all questions from consumers, designers, authors and teachers about using Sulky products; she loves to help solve problems and make people happy. Patti is responsible for the Sulky Certified Teacher Training curriculum, with artistic and creative input from Ellen Osten and Carol Ingram. It's been a wonderful partnership, and we are delighted to now be able to bring these exciting classes to the world online.
