Color Wheels Quilt Pattern Download

Description

Four color groups in three values each—light, medium, and dark—work beautifully with white negative space to create this stunning quilt. These curved templates are easy to handle—the curves are subtle so the blocks piece together with little fuss and similar to Nine Patch construction. Designed by Nichole Ramirez and featured in Modern Patchwork September/October 2017.

Finished size: 70″ x 90″

Materials used:

• 3 3/4″ yards white for blocks and background
• 1/4 yard each dark avocado, bright pink, and dark yellow-brown for blocks
• 3/8 yard each pale blue-green, pale pink, and pale yellow for blocks
• 1/2 yard each blue-green, green, light yellow-green, and peach for blocks
• 7/8 yard dark blue-green for blocks and binding
• 5 1/2 yards for backing

Fabrics used in the quilt shown are Kona Cotton Solids from Robert Kaufman Fabrics.

Nichole Ramirez began her quilting journey in 2003. She is a charter member of the Los Angeles Modern Quilt Guild and has had quilts exhibited at QuiltCon, Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show, International Quilt Market and Festival, Road to California, and AQS Quilt Week.
