Description
This modern twist on the traditional shoo fly block features oversized blocks and a quick stitch and flip construction. The large size means you need just 24 blocks to make a twin sized quilt! These blocks are also perfect for highlighting large scale prints and using your fat quarter collection.
Required Materials: FABRIC
- 24 assorted cotton print fat quarters
- 2 ¾ yd of 44″ wide solid cotton fabric for background (shown: light turquoise)
- 2 ¾ yd each of two 44″ wide cotton fabrics for backing
- 5/8 yd of 44″ wide cotton fabric for binding (shown: turquoise)
OTHER MATERIALS
- 68″ – 98″ piece of batting
- Coordinating thread for piecing and quilting
- Disappearing ink fabric marking pen
