I love what happens when you combine prints, stripes, and ombrés. In this quilt, richly hued ombrés are paired with grays to create the illusion of light sweeping across the surface. Marcia Derse’s saturated prints in the block centers give the quilt visual weight. Add black-and-white stripes to complete this “urban environment.”
