URGENT – Soup’s On pattern – flammability

soups-on-flammability

The original instructions for Soup’s On (published in Fons & Porter’s Autumn Festival of Quilts 2017) advised using spray adhesive to baste the layers together—do NOT do this. Spray adhesive is highly flammable.

We apologize for not catching the unsafe error. The digital versions of the magazine have been updated, and the unsafe pattern has been removed from the store.

If you have already created this cozy using spray adhesive, please launder it thoroughly before use.

When making this project, or any other project intended for the microwave, please make sure you only use microwave-safe materials. Fabric, batting or thread should be 100% cotton, or a similarly microwave-safe fiber; absolutely NO melt-able polyester and absolutely NO metallics should be used.

We at Fons & Porter wish you a safe and happy Thanksgiving holiday.
